Day 01: Arrival in Leh
Upon your arrival in Leh, take a day to rest and acclimatize to the high altitude. Spend your evening exploring the vibrant main market and the serene Shanti Stupa.
Day 02: Local Sightseeing
Embark on a local sightseeing tour to explore the famous monasteries like Shey, Thiksey, and Hemis. Spend the night in a comfortable hotel.
Day 03: Leh to Chilling
After breakfast, embark on a taxi ride to Chilling, where you can visit the Phyang Gonpa and admire the traditional handicraft. Meet the local porters and kitchen staff to ensure everything is in order.
Day 04: Trek from Chilling to Darbau
Start your Chadar trek after breakfast, and walk to Tilat Sumdo for lunch, where the chharap river meets. After lunch, continue walking until you reach the campsite, where you can witness the unique experience of setting up camp near a small cave. Spend the night in a tent.
Day 05: Darbau to Tip Yokma
Today, trek to the Chhumchar waterfall and enjoy a group lunch. You may even spot some wildlife! In the evening, camp in a natural cave that can accommodate more than 40 people - the largest on the Chadar trek route. Spend the night in a tent.

Day 06. Trek Tip Yokma- Nyrak Pollu Today, we'll come across a juniper tree on our way to Nyrak villages, followed by Yulchung Nalla. After a short walk from the juniper tree, we'll reach one of the most beautiful icefalls that is quite picturesque. In this area, we'll see Nyrak village's upper top of camp and the bridge made of local wood. We'll camp for the night at Nyrak Pullo.
Day 07. Trek Nyrak Pollu- Lingshed After breakfast, we'll walk along the Zanskar River till Lingshedsumdo. From Lingshed Sumdo, we'll leave the Zanskar River chadar ice route and enter the Lingshed Nalla. We'll stop for lunch and then walk to Lingshed village, where we can enjoy a beautiful view of the gonpa that is famous in the area for painting. We'll spend the night in a local family house.
Day 08. Trek Lingshed- Hamlung After breakfast, we'll visit the monasteries at the top of the Lingshed village and then walk down to the river bank side. Lingshed does keep continuing on the chadar trek. We'll have lunch near Lingshed Sumdo and camp for the night on a sand beach at Hamlung.
Day 09. Trek Hamlung- Hanamil Village Today, we'll come across an under river spring, which is supposed to be one of the highlights of the chadar trek. Here, the river sometimes appeases, and we need to be cautious when taking a step. Sometimes the ice may be softer, and water may appear on the ice. We'll spend the night in a local family house, which will be the first village on the Zanskar chadar trek route.
Day 10. Trek Hanamil- Pishu Now, we're in the Zanskar valley, and we'll either take the land route or the river route. Since the area remains mostly covered with heavy snow, it is best to take the guided route only. We'll explore the villages and spend the night in a local family house.
Day 11: Trek from Pishu to Karsha
After a hearty breakfast, we will head towards Karsha on the left side. We will pass through Rinam, a small village, and see the Zangla palace and other villages where the royal family still resides. On arrival at Karsha, we will stop for lunch and explore the town. From the other side of the river, we can see Padum. We will spend the next two nights in a local house in Karsha.
Day 12: Rest Day in Karsha
After breakfast, we will visit the Karsha monasteries in the morning. The afternoon is free for personal activities, allowing you to take in the stunning beauty of the area at your own pace. We will stay in a local house in Karsha.
Day 13: Trek from Karsha to Tongday
Today marks the start of our return journey. After visiting Pipiting Guru, we will trek to Tongday and stay in a local family house. We can visit the Tongday gonpa and immerse ourselves in the local culture.
Day 14: Trek from Zangla to Tsarakdo
This day marks our return to the chadar after Pidmo village. We will follow the same route we took on the way back, skipping some sections as we trek downwards. It will take some time to reach our campsite.
Day 15: Trek from Tsarakdo to Nyrak Pullo
After breakfast, we will continue our trek to Nyrak Pullo, where we will spend the night camping. Along the way, we will see breathtaking views of the surrounding areas, and you will have the opportunity to take in the natural beauty of the region up close.

Day 16. Trek Nyrak Pullo to Padartsomo
Today, we continue our trek up to Tsomopaldar, a stunning location with a natural spring. Along the way, we'll see beautiful landscapes and unique rock formations. For dinner and overnight stay, we'll be sleeping in a cave, an experience that you'll never forget.
Day 17. Trek Padartsomo to Tilat Sumdo
Today's trek is a bit challenging, but the stunning scenery will make it all worth it. We'll be walking through rocky terrain, and you'll see many beautiful waterfalls and small streams. We'll be spending the night camping under the stars in Tilat Sumdo.
Day 18. Tilat Sumdo to Chilling
Today, we'll be trekking up to Chilling, where we'll be finishing our journey. From here, we'll return to Leh by jeep. Chilling is a beautiful and remote village, and you'll have the chance to explore its unique culture and traditions. For dinner and overnight stay, we'll be sleeping in a hotel.
Day 19. Leisure in Leh
Today is a day of relaxation and personal activities. You'll have free time to explore the city of Leh and shop for souvenirs to take home. We'll be spending the night in a hotel.
Day 20. Leh to Delhi Flight
Our Ladakh adventure comes to an end as we transfer to the airport for our flight back to Delhi. We hope you've had a wonderful time exploring this beautiful part of India and take back unforgettable memories.
