Coincidence and Belief: A Fortuitous Encounter that Changed Lives

Do You Believe in Coincidence?

There is no such thing as coincidence!

One summer day, Mr. Yüksel missed a ferry he had never missed before, on his way to a goose farm across the river. Unable to bear the scorching heat while waiting for the next ferry, he decided to postpone his plan to buy a few geese until the following day and headed back home. On his drive back, he encountered a flock of geese. Believing that following them would inevitably lead him to his destination, he started to trail them. With the geese leading the way, Mr. Yüksel ventured down the dusty village road.

Eventually, they reached a crossroads, and the flock split into two groups: one heading right and the other going straight. After a brief hesitation, Mr. Yüksel decided to follow the geese heading right. The geese waddled along for a while and finally slipped through a wooden fence in front of a small house surrounded by trees, entering the house. At that moment, the door of the house opened, and an elderly woman emerged, meeting the geese.

After watching her for a moment, Mr. Yüksel got out of his car and approached her, saying, “If you don’t mind, I would like to buy some of your geese.” The old woman gazed at him calmly, but soon, unable to hold back her tears, she said, “I’ve been wanting to sell these geese for so long. I needed to sell them to buy medicine for my sick husband, but I couldn’t go anywhere, nor could I sell them. I had no strength to find someone. Last night, I cried until morning. I knew my prayers would be answered. God sent you to me, my son.”

Mr. Yüksel bought the geese at a price the old woman could never have imagined, and the next day, he returned to the house with a doctor, had the husband examined, arranged for the necessary medicine, and bid farewell to the family.

As we all know, there is no such thing as coincidence. Everything happens as it should, in its own time.
